Hunger Strike.

Well it seems that having exhausted all options the Perak Pakatan Rakyat lawmakers is fasting in protest over the death of democracy in the silver state. Of course beside protesting about the death of democracy, why not kill two birds with one stone as this fast will be a good way for the lawmakers to lose weight and stay healthy especially with the stress that they have to put up with losing the state of Perak. Of course that all that they will gain not to mention delighting the BN lawmakers who will be enjoying themselves, eating the delicious Ikan Keli( Cat Fish) while laughing and enjoying the misery of their opposition counterpart.

If I may offer my 2 cents worth of advice, stop being dramatic and pathetic and start being a damn good opposition, while hoping that the federal court will serve justice is just like the Saharan dwellers hoping that it will rain there, might as well they be realistic and start to prepare for the next General Election, whilst becoming a damn good opposition so that Zambry and Co. cannot fool and short changed the people of Perak. He can smile and laugh and he wants, but a gentle reminder is in order, he who laugh last laugh the loudest ( sorry if I you don't understand this, is not might fault you learn the English language in Malay.)

The first think they should do is try to bring down the frogs of Jelapang, Behrang and Jangkat Jering, especially the two frogs charged in court for corruption, make sure the case don't suddenly disappear into thin air or mysteriously settled like the Lingam case. If possible try to find evidence that they are indeed corrupt so that we can force a by-election and well reclaim Perak in style without withholding the urge to purge on those delicious roti canai and so on. Another matter worth investigating was whether or not they we entice to jump by offers of cash and their acquittal from the corruption charge, if we can add the involvement of a certain someone who was said to be instrumental in the Perak takeover, that would be the perfect icing on the cake.

Secondly, by being a good opposition Pakatan can take the opportunity to strenghten their cohesiveness whilst checking their own party for potential defects especially PKR, which selected dubious and incompetent candidates for the election. In case of the DAP, the Ngeh and Nga dominance of the Perak DAP must be investigated as the frogs site them as part of the reason in their decision to switch side. This problem must be address once and for all. In the case of PAS, the party holds the key in how the opposition will fare in the next general election as PAS in the best suited to compete with UMNO for the votes of the rural Malays and if PAS succeeds in winning the key demography it will greatly weaken the final fortress of BN in Perak as UMNO is the largest party in Perak in terms of the number of state and Parliamentary seats it currently holds.

Finally, on the national level the respect for Pakatan Rakyat will grow as they can impress the people by showing their maturity, and pictured BN as the ruthless law breaking party. Sivakumar decision to expel Zambry and his EXCO drew criticism as his action clearly demonsrates abuse of power and doing whatever it takes to hang on to power as this is normally associated with BN so it is imperative that Pakatan Rakyat doesn't get associated with that image. It is wise for Pakatan not to get suck up on the present as it is essential to prepare for the future, like they say they can win the battle, but we must win the war for a better more democratic and just society in Malaysia.
